Ende der 70er hatte Marvel Comics eine zeitlang ein Jugendmagazin namens Pizzazz am Start, dass es auf 16 Ausgaben gebracht hat, ehe es eingestellt wurde. Bei Rebelscum kann man sich die Cover aller erschienenen Ausgaben ansehen. Die Wikipedia über das Mag:

Der Exorzist: Linda Blairs Stimme wie sie am Set aufgenommen vs. die nachsynchroniserte Fassung
Der Exorzist gehört zu den Filmen, die ich als Kind etwas zu früh mit einem Freund heimlich angesehen habe. Besonders fertig gemacht hat mich damals die Stimme des Dämons, als er aus Reagan – der Protagonistin – spricht. Das Trauma lässt sich aber jetzt auf YouTube verarbeiten: Dort ist ein interessantes Video aufgetaucht (lässt sich leider nicht einbetten), in dem zuerst die Stimme der besessenen Regan alias Linda Blair zu hören ist, und zwar so, wie sie am Set aufgenommen wurde und anschließend die von Mercedes McCambridge nachsynchronisierte Version, wie sie Freunde der Orginalfassung kennen.

Drei Stunden Fingermalerei auf dem iPad auf immer noch stolze knapp acht Minuten im Zeitraffer eingedampft: Porträtmalerei finde ich meistens zwar etwas langweilig, die Skills von David Jon Kassan aber sehr beeindruckend. Und was seine Videobeschreibung bei YouTube angeht, bin ich noch etwas splunge ob das jetzt noch Understatement oder schon Angeberei ist:

Ich persönlich bin mir zwar nicht sicher, ob Neomarxismus die Antwort auf meine Fragen ist, aber der halbstündige Vortrag von David Harvey an der RSA ist auf alle Fälle sehenswert – vor allem in animierter Form.

"Russell Kirsch says he’s sorry. More than 50 years ago, Kirsch took a picture of his infant son and scanned it into a computer. It was the first digital image: a grainy, black-and-white baby picture that literally changed the way we view the world [...] The square pixel became the norm, thanks in part to Kirsch, and the world got a little bit rougher around the edges ... "Wie ein überarbeitetes digitales Bild mit "variabel geformten" Pixeln aussieht, zeigt Russell Kirsch an Hand seines mittlerweile 53 jährigen Sohns:
Kirsch made that first digital image using an apparatus that transformed his picture into the binary language of computers, a regular grid of zeros and ones. A mere 176 by 176 pixels, that first image was built from roughly one one-thousandth the information in pictures captured with today’s digital cameras. Back then, the computer’s memory capacity limited the image’s size ...
