This is my second modding attemt and I´m here to recycle. I´ll be turning my very old computer into a kind of arcade console, emulating classics from the NES, SNES, SEGA, NEO GEO and many more. I´ll be using the arcade interface program Maximus Arcade for autoboot. I want to keep this artifact very simple, with sharp edges and small stylistic features, all covered in hardwood.. If you´ve seen my previous mod sputnik 0667 you´ll be familiar with the color concept: walnut, brass and matte black. I just can´t get enough of that combo! I´m going to use walnut lumber and some veneer on MDF.(via Hack N Mod)

The resulting effect invites inquiry into issues of self-awareness, empathy and non-verbal communication. A different animal appears every time a person walks in front of the mirror. The animals represent species from across the spectrum of domestication, from wild predators to domesticated species to animals who have evolved to coexist with human settlements, while remaining ‘wild’. The animal mimics the viewer’s facial expressions, interspersing them with its own independent ones. One feels compelled to in turn enact those animal expressions, lip licking and snarling, fully inhabiting the role, following while being followed ...
