Curious Breakfast schmeckt vielleicht etwas pappig, sieht dafür aber im Gegensatz zu anderen Gerichten auch noch zwölf Tagen noch supi aus.

"The effect can be simulated in Photoshop, by adjusting a photograph's contrast, colour saturation and depth of focus. It works quite well with regular photographs, so we decided to try it using paintings to see what would happen, and it turns out that the works of Vincent van Gogh in particular make excellent subjects for this kind of treatment ... To reiterate: Nothing in any of these paintings been added or removed or had its proportions changed. The effect is achieved simply by manipulating the light in the scene and adjusting the areas of the image that are more and less in focus, as you will see ..." Tilt-Shift Van Gogh(via The Awesomer)

"A long time ago, when computers still used floppy disks, there was a need to duplicate the contents of these floppies. X-Copy was one of the most well known disk copying programs for the Commodore Amiga ... The disk images you can find here have been taken from the actual master disks, to preserve the legacy as authentically as possible ... The current copyright owner has graciously allowed the releases to be archived here, as long as they are not sold for any amount of money, or included in any collection/product that is sold for any amount of money."(via Superlevel)
"Letters are organisms and typefaces are the species, all classified similar to biological taxonomy! I drafted this cognition in a chart for print and in order to prove my finding to the interested audience I took one step further. I surgically opened the letters S, Z, S, A, W and how contented I was to discover muscles, veins, tendons and bone just like the ones shared by so many living creatures" Evolution of Type, Exhibits 1-5(via Fubiz)
"I've been interested in taking my Light Study photo series and evolving them into motion pieces. I shot a lot of footage for a VJ gig for FITC San Francisco. So I edited together those stop motion sequences, mashed up some audio from the Tron Legacy trailers, and out came Light Drive. The video is stop motion, so every frame is an individually shot photograph. Each photograph is a long exposure photo, with exposures reaching up to 20 seconds in some cases. To control the lights, I used an Arduino controlled via bluetooth to drive a stepper motor. The stepper motor controls the movements of the lights remotely from Processing."

"They risked their lives to capture on film hundreds of blinding flashes, rising fireballs and mushroom clouds ... While many of the scientists who made atom bombs during the cold war became famous, the men who filmed what happened when those bombs were detonated made up a secret corps ... After inaugurating the nuclear age and dropping two atomic bombs on Japan in World War II, the United States threw itself into expanding its nuclear arsenal. New designs required test detonations to make sure they worked properly. Between 1946 and 1962, the nation set off more than 200 atmospheric blasts ... The secret film unit, established in 1947 by the military, was known as the Lookout Mountain Laboratory. Surrounded by the lush greenery of Laurel Canyon, just minutes from the Sunset Strip, the lab drew on Hollywood talent and technology to pursue its clandestine ends ..."
