"Like most guys my age, I grew up reading Calvin and Hobbes religiously. It is by far my favorite comic strip of all time, and I still enjoy revisiting it from time to time. Unfortunately, author Bill Watterson was notoriously tight-stringed when it came to releasing licensed material of good ol’ Calvin and Hobbes ... I can’t help but think that the strip and video games are a match made in heaven. As such, I took it upon myself to create a mockup for the game that an entire generation wishes was real ..." "Moss invaders comprises a living graffiti mural and a capacitive sound installation into one piece. The moss mural is made using laser cut stencils to mold a moss milkshake concoction of our own devising. The moss paste is "painted" onto the stencils to grow directly onto the brick wall surface. The sound installation aspect takes the moss invaders into the intergalactic realm. Each moss pad is a capacitive sensor which plays 8-bit musical sounds when touched." Moss invaders(via DVICE)
How did you get inspired to start making these figures? My mind never stops thinking of building things whether its toys or buildings or whatever the occasion calls for. I love robots, and lack of joints will not stop me from creating what’s in my head.(via Boing Boing)
How did people react to your creations when you started making them? They respect my ways of staying sane in this rough place. My different types of work inspire people to be creative themselves and ‘that’ is my main goal. Upcycled Action Figures in Afghanistan
