"My star trail images are made by taking a time exposure of about 10 to 15 minutes. However, with modern digital cameras, 30 seconds is about the longest exposure possible, due to electronic detector noise effectively snowing out the image. To achieve the longer exposures I do what many amateur astronomers do. I take multiple 30-second exposures, then ‘stack’ them using imaging software, thus producing the longer exposure."(via Boing Boing)

Mein Telefonverzeichnis war mal mein Kopf, dann mein Mobiltelefon, dass meine Uhr ist. Aber wenn es eine sein muss, gerne eine Casio aus den 80ern. Meine letzte funktionierende ist übrigens eine Casio CMD-40F-7 aus den 90ern mit Fernbedienung – ein total unnützes Feature, außer im Elektromarkt vor der Fernsehwand.

Installationskünstler Lucas Abela hat eine Rennstrecke aus gebrauchten Schallplatten gebaut über die er Besucher ferngesteuerte, mit Tonabnehmern ausgerüstete Modellautos fahren lässt. Gesteuert wird per Lenkrad über einen Bildschirm. Der Sound der dabei entsteht geht Richtung unerträglich, trotzdem würde ich gerne mal ein paar Runden drehen – wer zwischen dem 22. bis zum 24. Juni in Frankfurt am Main ist, kann dies auf dem Lüften Festival tun.

Featuring an escaped convict, a determined cop and a fully armed police helicopter, Speed of Light takes 'projection mapping' to a whole new (and low) level.
